European Short Pitch is an initiative aimed at promoting the European co-production of short films, where it combines a script-writing workshop in residency, an online session and a co-production forum bringing together scriptwriters and industry professionals from all over Europe.
Through the support of Arts Council Malta, at least one young Maltese Film Maker will be ensured a place within the European Short Pitch 2017, and all Maltese film makers will have an opportunity to meet and network with the participants.
A second Maltese applicant will also be fast-tracked into the short list, to be reviewed by the final judges for consideration for the ESP 2017. The Maltese participants will be chosen based on the originality and feasibility of their idea, their track record in the Maltese industry and their drive to network within the group of European participants.
The Script-writing workshop in residency will take place from the 9th till the 15th of January 2017 in Malta. Deadline to apply is 30th of September 2016, however for Maltese applicants the deadline has been extended until the 10th of October 2016.
